world are condemning a bombing. the state department is warning americans to stay away from u.s. diplomatic facilities in turkey. that warning follows a suicide bombing today, in ankara, turkey. danielle leigh is on capitol hill with news that the white house is calling this attack an act of terror. >> reporter: jim, good evening. this attack complicated a day that was supposed to be a celebration, as secretary of state hillary clinton stepped down. it's a great reminder of the serious security threats that the now secretary of state john kerry is inheriting. chaos outside the u.s. embassy in ankara, turkey's capital today. a suicide bomber killed himself and the embass guard and blasted a hole through the checkpoint. paramedics rushed to help a seriously wounded woman. at least two other guards were hurt. the u.s. ambassador to turkey said the compound is secure, but standing among is the confusion, he was clearly shaken. >> right now we are dealing with our sadness at the lost of our fellow member of our embassy. >> reporter: the turk irk government blamed a domestic militant

recommendings just released by the u.s. preventative services task force there's not enough evidence that calcium and vitamin d supplements have any benefit when it comes to preventing fractures in women after menopause. more specifically, the guidelines say that in low doses the supplements have no benefit and cowl even contribute to causing kidney stones. >> it doesn't say the calcium and vitamin d are necessarily horrible things but that the evidence to take them to prevent an osteoporatic fracture are missing. >> reporter: at age 5 doctors have been recommending that women start the supplements. he says the new guidelines aren't surprising. more and more evidence is mounting against using supplements. this reinforces the idea that diet and physical activity are best when it comes to getting all the vitamins and minerals we need. >> lots of fruits and  vegetables, milk or other dairy products that have calcium. for vitamin d we get that from primarily the sunlight. >> reporter: laurie says she's been doing that alongside taking supplements anyway. now she's questioning whether i

she does, she hugs them. she's known as the hug lady. she's been greeting u.s. military at the fort hood airport for the last ten years. it's estimated that she's given more than half a million hugs in that time. today she greeted 160 soldiers returning from afghanistan. troops say they look forward to seeing her. she says hugs are good for you. they make people smile. when she sees the troops, she finds the strenh to car okay, i need a better pizza. one made with only real cheese. a pizza my family will love.
